STEP 1

We have contacted you because we believe you or your company may be the rightful owner of some unrecovered funds. Missing Money Australia, investigate, identify and locate people and businesses who are owed money. Upon positive proof of ownership, we offer a specialised service to successfully recover your unclaimed funds.

STEP 2

COMPLETE DOCUMENTS

 

An Authority to Release form is a legal requirement to enable us to recover your funds. Once you have signed our Authority to Release form, we act on your behalf to ensure the successful return of your money. Our number one goal is to eliminate the major complexities associated with dealing with the institutions which hold unrecovered funds.

Each of the various organisations we deal with have different requirements regarding supporting documentation, however all require:

Proof of identity.

  • required to prove ownership of all unrecovered funds.

  • essential in preventing false claims.

A link to the last known postal address.

  • as proof of your ownership of your unrecovered funds.

    • Most Holding Authorities require certified copies of documents, relating to a claim.

    • Additional documents may be required by the organisation holding your funds.

We guide you through all required documentation.

STEP 3

SUBMIT AND RESPOND

 

Once we receive your complete and correct supporting documents, we promptly initiate the recovery of your funds. The Holding Authority will liaise directly with us, throughout the claim process. If required, they will inform us of any further documentation needed to secure your refund. We keep you informed throughout the claim process which can be between 2-9 weeks, though generally a claim takes 4-6 weeks.

STEP 4

PAYMENT

 

Missing Money Australia have a Trust Account with Fee from Refund Pty Ltd (ABN 99 156 638 890), enabling our clients to pay their fee to us directly from their refunded money. This is the same service many Accountants use to receive their fee. The Holding Authority will deposit your refund into this Trust Account. From there your refund will be transferred directly into your nominated bank account, less our agreed fee of 15% + GST.

We provide you with a Paid Tax Invoice, within 7 days.

If for any reason we are unsuccessful at recovering your funds, our service is FREE.
